Galleries and libraries and dog parks

Bloganuary day 24: Name an attraction or town close to home that you still haven’t got around to visiting.

Oh there are a lot of places I want to visit! The one that is close to my place is…none. Every place I want to visit is a good 1 hour distance. One of them is the modern art gallery. I desperately want to visit it and have a tour. I have heard some fantastic reviews by people and a lot of my friends have recommended it as well. I even had a little plan but it got cancelled because LIFE ALWAYS KEEPS ME BUSY AS FUCK! I want a few days for myself to rest and visit the gallery!! I also want to go to a lot of libraries and a dog park, although I don’t have a dog. I want holidays!!

Song of the day!!

The trip to Jim Corbett

I am back with another blog on this lovely place

Bloganuary day 13: Think back on your most memorable road trip.

Storytime to my first visit trip to the Jim Corbett! I have shared earlier that Jim Corbett is a place I have immense love for. It is a calm and serene place, perfect for people like me who just want a break from their fast paced life. Sitting on the river banks surrounded by nature listening to all the sounds around in cold breezes with no rush is what bliss is.

I was in middle school. Mom, my mom’s mom, and I went on a little girls trip for a few days. We departed early in the morning, had breakfast on a restaurant on the highway, and reached perfectly by the check-in time. It was a fucking 7 star resort. I was quite stunned when the receptionist used the designation baby when referring my id because kids get respect too!!??

The room was so massive and the shower always, and I mean, always had hot water. I bathed thrice a day for that amazing hot shower and blow drying the hair. The lawns were vast, so many swings and a pool. The food was epic. The food can be the best or the worst part of your trip and fortunately we got the former. I had fucking hot dogs in breakfast, we don’t have hot dogs here man. I remember this huge cheese platter and I tasted ever variety laid there. Every night there was some event happening, wildlife documentary screening or dance party or bon fire or some other shit. God was this the best. We went on a wildlife safari and not only did I spot so many animals being in their own world, our driver showed us a downstream and it was absolutely beautiful down there. It was like a completely different place with a slow river stream and lush green bushes and trees and loads of birds. Mom didn’t let me go ahead because she feared I may slip and hurt myself. Makes sense. I don’t want to further elongate the text now otherwise it’d be a long, boring blog. So for anyone interested, I have written more of my experience in the blog I have linked above.

On the ride returning back, I had a hot chocolate fudge midway, which I vomited out later. The fudge wasn’t that good anyways.

This is all I can remember from my childhood trips. Although this anecdote is not exactly a “road trip” experience, it is the only good road trip I remember. The rest are one day journeys to some or the other temple that I always spent sleeping and being annoyed. This was a good one, one that I am fond of.

Song of the day!!

Money For Nothing by Jussie Smollett & Yazz. Another awesome upbeat track from my top artists.

I want to visit Spain

I like Spanish, I like food, I like exploring cultures, so why not?

Bloganuary day 26: What language do you wish you could speak?

Spanish. Idk why but I always find Spanish so mesmerising. Even the name. Spanish. Sounds bold and fancy.

But I won’t learn it. Because I have extreme trouble in learning new languages. I studied German in school for 5 years and do I remember a single thing except me cursing their goddamn articles- der, die das? No. German was a headache fr. Idk how I even passed the subject.

Back to the topic, I like the ring of Spanish language in use. Idk I just do. And then I also read a book called “The Spanish Love Deception” and now I want the male lead, who surprisingly speaks Spanish quite sexily, so yeah.

Anyways I am fond of Spainsh. Tbh I am fond of Spain as a country. I have read quite a bit about the country’s colorful festivals and awesome cuisine. Everyone wants to go to Paris once in their lives but I want to go to Spain. That place sounds homey to me idk why.

Song of the day!!

Infamous by Empire Cast, Jussie Smollett & Mariah Carey. The vocals mix so well with the music. Awesome production.

Metro all the way

Bloganuary day 14: What is your preferred mode of travel?

Metro, without a doubt. In many countries these are known as “subways.” In my country, subways are underground tunnels for walking and metro is the train service that is usually built above the roads, at a considerable height.

This service isn’t available nationwide but in my state, it is quite prominent. Metro is a very safe mode of travel. There is security, cleanliness and people actually care about public transportation and etiquettes here. The system is designed in such a way that every part of town is connected and I can go anywhere without spending too much time or money.

I don’t like travelling by road because of traffic, otherwise I have travelled a considerable amount of times by cabs, shuttles and buses. I actually feel weird when I don’t find metro in other states lol.

Song of the day!!

Good Enough by Jussie Smollett, James David Washington, Tim Mosley & Daniel Jones. First of all, OP beatboxing. Harmonious vocals with heartfelt lyrics about wanting to be seen.

Ladakh

Bloganuary has officially come to an end but not for me. I will post on the prompts I missed.

January 2nd‘s prompt was “What is a road trip you would like to take?”

This is a tough question. I’m not a very big fan of road trips. The thought of spending a huge amount of time in a cramped space is a little unconvincing.

But there is still one place I would like to take a road trip to- Ladakh. Ladakh is a cold desert in India famous for its breathtaking landscapes, crystal clear skies, highest mountain passes, adventure activities, Buddhist Monasteries and festivals. Such a place is what I would like to go for a perfect vacation. Nature, cold, high altitude, adventure sports and culture- all in one. Nature and high altitude are something I love. I feel hot easily so cold weather is better than having to sweat like crazy and I’m always up for adventure sports.I have visited Buddhist Monasteries earlier but I still want to see what changes in cultures different regions have.

Although it is very far from my place, so taking a flight to somewhere near and then going by road is my preference. But idk if that will ever happen. Feeling the fresh, cold wind pass through my hair would be a lovely feeling, won’t it?

Song of the day!!

Not Today by BTS. Rocking beats of hip hop music combined with the message of not dying today. Although ‘togetherness’ is highlighted a lot in the song which I don’t really believe in, hearing this song gets me back to “yeah I ain’t giving up now”. I love the music of this song, it’s the highlight.

Time travel

Let’s go and commit murders!

Bloganuary prompts are getting harder day by day. Today’s prompt is “If you could, what year would you time travel to and why?”

Whenever I thought about this topic, I couldn’t get any answer. There are so many things I wanted to try by time travelling. The thought of going back and forward in time is so exciting. So I stopped thinking about it.

My first stop would be the 19th century. I want to kill this guy called Henry Fischel. Even his name is fishy. Why, you ask? He invented exams. I don’t need to explain any further than that.

I also want to kill Newton ngl. Travel to the 17th century and stop his mom and dad from doing the deed. He wouldn’t have been on earth in the first place then. That guy just randomly decided to make laws because of an apple! I wish it were a coconut tree he would have sat down instead. Coconut drop, Newton up! If you did make laws, mention alongside that us, normal, sane students don’t need to learn these. That guy left, but after increasing our syllabus. My granny said and I quote “If you find a new pattern in something, you make laws out of it? Logic, where?” I couldn’t agree more. She understands me.

I wouldn’t even have to sustain any punishment.

Song of the day!!

Mikrokosmos by BTS. Why is the name so complicated? Anyways, this song is to lift your spirits when you feel down. The lyrics are about being free. I adore the music in this song.

1st school trip

My experience being stuck with 2 boring people & the lessons I learned.

I was in 7th grade when I went on my first school trip. We were a total of 23 students including me- 20 boys and 3 girls, all strangers to me. Adventure, yay! The catch? Since there were only 3 girls, we had to always stay together. The teachers said it was because of security reasons. Whatever. The problem arised when I discovered that the other two girls 1. were super boring, judgy & snobby and 2. they were besties. Fuck. Let me tell you, being stuck with 2 people who are always in their own world is not a very great feeling, especially when you want to enjoy. They were clicking photos all the damn time and whenever I wanted to be clicked, they didn’t. They just clicked each other and went ahead! They had their own talks- about their moms might I tell you. They sucked at horror story telling. They were very messy and took literally an hour to get ready. They were super lazy and just wanted to sit at one place everywhere. I seriously explored everything on my own. But I think it is still better than being stuck with 2 dumbos. I got along with the boys. They were cool and much more mature in handling things. But my teacher forced me to be stuck with those girls. And to commute, we had rented a car. But the boys had jeeps. All the boys went in jeeps while I was stuck in a damn car coz we were less and didn’t need a big jeep to carry 3 people! Ugh! Not fair!

Anyways, I enjoyed my trip alone and it was fun. I learned many things, especially determining something’s worth and bargaining. But one thing I will forever remember and want to share is that “Never ever listen to the teacher if she tells you stick with someone or shit. Go ahead and be with people who you actually have fun with! You are here to have fun so enjoy. The rest will be handled later!” Now, the song of the day!!

Daisy by Ashnikko. This song is such a mood. Listen to it and see for yourself how good it is, I don’t want to spoil it for you.
