Winter has officially arrived. I know I wrote a blog on my adoration towards winters a few days back, but it’s now that I feel winter is truly here. I wake up to find a dark sky, covered in a cloak of white. Only the tree in front of my balcony is visible. Fog has wrapped us in its safety blanket. I admire it for a while, seeing the whitish threads floating slowly. Not much is visible ahead while travelling. Everyone and everything suddenly turned invisible. It’s spellbinding how the fog covers the buildings, revealing grand, magical staircases. Even at noon, it doesn’t leave our side. Evening arrives and the blanket gets heavier. At nighttime it’s immensely dense. God is it beautiful. And all this time, the wind never stops blowing. Quick gushes or gentle stirrings, the wind doesn’t stop dancing in this enchanting weather. It’s peaceful. No noise from the fans or the acs, it’s a whole other vibe. I tried to click a couple pictures of my surroundings in the morning, but the camera can’t capture the beauty the eyes witness. At least not my phone’s. Anyway, my point is, winter brings a certain sense of peace. Time slows down a bit and suddenly I can breathe. Have you ever just breathed a long drawn breath in the winter breeze? It’s different. It smells different. It tastes different. It feels different. It’s fulfilling. I sit in my balcony when working, even at this moment, it’s blissful. Try it. You’ll find calm.
