One person at a time

When discussing political and social issues with people, more than often I learn new cases, happenings, and facts about the topic. Then I also discover that the people stating these facts did not research properly and are speaking with information they got from hear-say. They proceed to make lengthy arguments and stating conclusions based on I can never understand what. That’s the part that pissed me off, especially when the person in question is an influential entity. People speak random rubbish without knowing what they are saying and the spread of misinformation like this makes people believe that so called opinion. That opinion becomes a (baseless) fact and everyone’s thinking is altered.

So guys, just think before you speak. One person at a time, one step at a time.

Song of the day!!

Solo by Myles Smith. I like the little Wordplay in the lyrics during the chorus a lot. This song expresses some raw feelings and hurt in the softest way.

Books have raised me

Who asks a reader what book changed them?
Every book matters bro, every book matters.

Bloganuary day 10: Has a book changed your life?

Talking about books? Hehe prepare yourself for a long rant baby!

*cracks neck and back because they’re stiff from sitting for so long*

First of all let me just emphasise how books have basically raised me. I’m not kidding when I tell you that books are the reason I am surviving today. Apart from music and dance, books have played a huge role in my miserable life. They were there for me to hold me and teach me what was needed when no one was. They were there, like the true best friend they are, and forever will be.

I have experienced and learned all sorts things from books that people live through in order to learn. I have read action, thriller, horror, romance, light hearted, drama, slice of life, comedy, you name the genre. And I must say that reading is the best way to gain knowledge and wisdom.

I won’t say that one particular book has made me into who I am today, but every book has contributed its share. But I have to fill in the blank ultimately!

So I would say Fear by @ lovelyseok & Queen of the Underworld by @ danaxramirez on Wattpad. Yes, I filled in two options but hear me out.

The first one is a legend I am currently rereading. Fear is a book that covers various social and psychological issues with its extremely dark theme (don’t read this if you can’t handle violence and mature stuff). This suspenseful book will keep you hooked at all times. Every character and every scene in this book lead to unimaginable twists. This book was a wake up call for me to stop being naive and use my brain. It taught me to be alert at all times and ways to defend and save myself, no matter how twisted the situation gets. It gives me a sense of belongingness.

Queen of the Underworld is a book from the female lead’s pov. This one is about gangs and mobs but appeals to the mindset of the world. Even with a common theme in the genre, this one is a piece to remember because of the careful writing style and intensity of the situations in the book. It is realistic in the sense that you actions have consequence and shit doesn’t change overnight, no matter who tf you are. This book made me realise that I shall plan my actions and be mindful because reality is what I make it there is no one I can blindly trust .

Song of the day!!

Holy Water by Noah Davis. It’s the theme and the perfectly expressive vocals for me. This one needs to be blasted during pride parades.
